I had a show recently whose theme was Animal Spirits. Akba-Atatdia, First Scolder, Old Man or Old Man Coyote is the elevated trickster and transformer of the Plains, West and Southwest. He is more a sage than a mischievous fool, imparting knowledge and sacred rituals to The People.
